Direct Capital partners with Fisher Funds to acquire New Zealand Health Group

Direct Capital has agreed to partner with Fisher Funds and existing shareholder Josephine Gagan to acquire New Zealand Health Group.

New Zealand Health Group is one of New Zealand’s largest providers of community health, disability and wellbeing services, supporting more than 70,000 New Zealanders each year and employing more than 10,000 people across the country.

The investment will be the third investment from Direct Capital VII, Direct Capital’s latest $525 million fund.

For more than 30 years, Direct Capital has partnered with New Zealand businesses to help fund and execute their growth plans. New Zealand Health Group fits strongly with Direct Capital’s investment approach, combining a leading position in the delivery of critical community health and support services, an experienced management team and significant opportunities to continue investing in its people, technology and service capability to support long-term growth.

Direct Capital will work alongside Fisher Funds, Josephine Gagan and the New Zealand Health Group management team to support the company’s next phase of growth and continued delivery of high-quality services to New Zealanders.

The transaction remains subject to customary conditions and is expected to complete in the coming months.
