Direct Capital is pleased to announce the completion of an investment in Jerrara Environmental (Jerrara), a business-to-business (“B2B”) waste treatment and processing platform.

Jerrara operates in specialised waste treatment and recycling niches - recovering, treating and recycling waste rather than collecting it or sending it to landfill. The initial focus is on hazardous and non-hazardous liquid waste and Jerrara holds a comprehensive suite of licences at a facility located in Sydney that allow it to process a wide range of waste types.

The strategy is to build a scaled, high-quality platform across Australia and New Zealand which will be executed by an experienced management team. Managing Director Chris Berkefeld is the former CEO of Cleanaway, Australia's largest waste business, and is well known to Direct Capital, having served as an independent director of Hiway Group for 12 years. Chris is joined by a senior team with extensive experience across industry leaders including Cleanaway, Brambles, Suez and the Swire Group.

In addition to partnering with Jerrara management, Direct Capital has also partnered with MADAUS Capital Partners led by Mark Baldassarre (Direct Capital's shareholder partner in the successful Marvel Packers investment).

The investment completed in June 2026 and represents the second investment from Direct Capital's latest fund, Direct Capital VII, which raised $525 million in April 2025.
